Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Food truck. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality and managerial experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service across all departments. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a positive environment for both staff and guests.
Duties
Lead and supervise all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality services.
Oversee team management by recruiting, training, and motivating staff to ensure high performance levels.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain standards of food production and kitchen hygiene.
Manage daily financial transactions, inventory control, and procurement processes.
Foster a welcoming atmosphere for guests while resolving any complaints or issues promptly.
Develop strategies to increase sales, optimise operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Supervise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain a thorough understanding of hospitality trends and incorporate innovative practices into the business.
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Extensive restaurant experience with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in food production, kitchen management, or hotel operations is highly desirable.
Knowledge of hospitality best practices including serving standards and barista experience is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities efficiently.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on team management and customer service excellence.
Flexible, with a willingness to embrace new challenges and work late nights and weekends where required.
